Dr Susan Hill is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education. She is an author and researcher in the field of early language and literacy and has written a number of books for researchers, teachers and children. Her work has involved many national and international literacy research projects.
Susan began work as an early childhood teacher with children beginning school and she is continually fascinated by how children begin to read and write. She has also conducted research into oral language and vocabulary development in the years before school.
Susan learned much from her family, particularly her daughter who thinks and learns very differently. Susan enjoys reading, the arts and creative problem solving.
She has two large, almost perfect poodles, and a pernickety parrot.
